On the other hand, L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 0.48 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.64 per cent at 45995.80.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 219.6 points at 24768.3, while the BSE Sensex stood 843.16 points at 82133.12.
