NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 552.3 points up at 73120.75 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Jigar Cables(down 18.73 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 16.17 per cent), Evoq Remedies(down 15.63 per cent), AVI Polymers Ltd.(down 15.30 per cent) and Rex Sealing & Packin(down 13.91 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks traded in the green, while 19 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 129.0 points up at 22023.55.
On the BSE, Binny Ltd, Ashnisha Industries, M K Proteins, Sanmit Infra and VirtualSoft Sys hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Ambalal Sarabhai, Rodium Realty, Bhilwara Spin, Prime Urban Dev and Shree Ajit Pulp touched their fresh 52-week highs.
