Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Sharda Ispat(19.99%), Keynote Financial(19.33%), Sharat Industries Ltd.(19.18%), Hemo Organic(18.88%) and Ashima Ltd(16.53%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 213.12 points down at 78058.16, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 92.96 points down at 23603.35.
In the Nifty50 index, 18 stocks closed in the green, while 32 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Senores Pharmaceutic, KRN Heat Exchanger, Quadrant Future Tek, Aarti Pharmalabs and Benares Hotels hit their fresh 52-week high, while Southern Magnesium, Vivanza Biosciences, Swiggy, Titan Intech and AGS Transact Tech touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
