JioStar, the entertainment arm of Reliance Industries, posted a net profit of Rs 3,210 crore for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, according to the company’s quarterly filings, where JioStar’s financials are disclosed as part of Reliance Industries’ consolidated results.

The company, which operates more than 100 entertainment and sports channels along with the JioHotstar platform, reported operating revenue of Rs 31,048 crore and EBITDA of Rs 4,885 crore for FY26.

In FY25, JioStar posted operating revenue of Rs 9,497 crore, EBITDA of Rs 774 crore and net profit of Rs 229 crore.

The FY25 numbers are not comparable with FY26 as the company was formed as a joint venture between Reliance Industries, The Walt Disney Company and Bodhi Tree Systems on November 14, 2024. The FY25 financials reflect performance for the period from November 14, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

For the quarter ended March 2026, JioStar posted a net profit of Rs 419 crore on operating revenue of Rs 8,372 crore, with EBITDA of Rs 827 crore.

In the preceding quarter, net profit stood at Rs 888 crore, EBITDA at Rs 1,303 crore and operating revenue at Rs 6,896 crore.

The network said its TV entertainment viewership share stood at 34.2%, reaching more than 810 million viewers. On the digital front, JioHotstar recorded an average of 500 million monthly active users during the quarter.

Digital subscriptions grew sequentially, with direct-to-consumer subscriptions reaching an all-time high, supported by the launch of new monthly plans.

The platform also introduced AI-led content discovery in partnership with OpenAI and expanded in-app integrations, including commerce features during live events.

In sports, performance was supported by properties such as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, the Women’s Premier League and the India-New Zealand bilateral series. The IPL 2026 opening weekend reached more than 515 million viewers across TV and digital.

In entertainment, the network maintained its lead in viewership share, with Hindi and regional programming contributing to overall performance. Digital content also saw continued traction across formats.
