Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 6.69 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(up 3.75 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 3.09 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 2.3 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 1.8 per cent up at 881.05.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 247.35 points at 21894.55, while the BSE Sensex stood up 847.27 points at 72568.45.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 ended in the green, while 19 closed in the red.
Shares of Infibeam Avenues, YES Bank, Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea and Easy Trip Planners were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Dhanlaxmi Bank, Manomay Tex India, Palred Technologies, MITCON Const & Engg. and Ashiana Housing hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while M K Proteins, Digidrive Distributo, Stampede Cap(DVR), Raj Rayon and Happy Forgings hit their fresh 52-week lows.
