“The company registered a healthy double-digit growth of 18% over the corresponding month of the previous fiscal when it sold 574,930 units in October 2023,” said the company in a filing to the exchanges.
The growth has been primarily attributed to a robust demand from key urban and rural areas, particularly in the 100cc and 125cc segments during the festive period.
Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle brand, VIDA, continued to have a strong growth trajectory this year and achieved its highest-ever monthly dispatches, reaching 8,750 units in October 2024.
Segment-wise, motorcycles led the growth with 635,787 units sold, up from 5,29,341 units last year, while scooter sales declined slightly to 43,304 units from 45,589.
Domestic sales rose to 6,57,403 units, compared to 5,59,766 in October 2023, and exports increased significantly to 21,688 units from 15,164.Year-to-date (YTD) figures for FY25 show total sales of 37,33,931 units, up from 33,44,030 units in YTD FY24.Also read: M&M shares rally 5% as co records highest ever SUV sales, grows by 25% YoY
The company also stated that the festive retail has also been doing very well, with Hero MotoCorp recording its highest-ever Dhanteras day, registering a double-digit growth over last year.
“Hero MotoCorp has swiftly expanded its premium dealership network to over 50 “Premia” outlets in as many cities, aiming to reach 100 such outlets by March. During the month, the company inaugurated nine Premia outlets in various cities across the country, making its premium portfolio more accessible to customers,” the company informed.
