Staff at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention held a “clap-out” on Thursday to honor three of the agency’s high-ranking officials, who resigned in protest after President Trump fired the director, Susan Monarez.

So let’s get the politics out of public health. Let’s get back to the objectivity, and let the science lead us because that’s how we get to the best decisions for public health.”
