Shares of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 2.15 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.01 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.34 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.3 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent) and Exide Industries Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.05 per cent up at 25093.5.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 4.75 points at 24143.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 149.85 points at 79105.88. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 ended in the green, while 27 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobilit, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Pokarna Ltd, Kriti Nutrients, Marksans Pharma, Prakash Pipes and Edelweiss Financial hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Unicommerce eSolutio, Focus Lighting, Landmark Cars, Repro India and Exxaro Tiles hit their fresh 52-week lows.
