Apollo Tyres Ltd.(up 5.06 per cent), MRF Ltd.(up 2.66 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 1.12 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.0 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.77 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.72 per cent at 25326.95 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 46.25 points at 24548.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 98.57 points at 80617.91. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, IRFC, IFCI, Indian Renewable and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Kellton Tech, IFCI, Servotech Power Syst, Essar Shipping and AMJ Land Holdings hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while BKM Industries, Brightcom Group, SecUR Credentials, Sanco Industries and Infomedia Press hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
