After a turbulent four years since the explosive rally of 2021, the Ethereum price looks ready to set new all-time highs. Mainly, the targets to trigger the next altcoin season have been set above the $5,000 level, where it seems most of the bullish pressure has been waiting. So far, Ethereum has yet to break this major target, but a machine learning algorithm has predicted that this level will be surmounted within a very short timeframe.

Ethereum Price To Finally Beat $9,000

The machine learning algorithm of the CoinCodex has placed Ethereum above the $5,000 mark very soon. The 5-day prediction, which will carry through to the end of this week, shows that a 10% move is coming before the week is over. This would put the Ethereum price above the $5,200 level and mark a brand-new all-time high since 2021.

This prediction comes as the market has continued to skew bullish, especially with Ethereum breaking above $4,800 recently. Ethereum’s bullishness is expected to carry on into the month of September, where the machine learning algorithm also puts it above $5,200 for the month.

While the short-term prediction for the Ethereum price is positive, the main move is expected to happen in the last quarter of the year. The months of October, November, and December are expected to see the Ethereum price at higher all-time highs than the previous month, expecting to close out the year 2025 in the green.

For the month of October, the machine learning algorithm expects the price to cross $8,100, resulting in an over 69% increase in price from here. Then, for the next month, November 2025, is when the price is expected to cross the $9,000 level. This means that the timeframe for the Ethereum price to reach $9,000 could be as little as three months.

As for December, the price is expected to retrace from $9,000, but still maintain a high level. The max price is placed at $7,278, and the min price at $6,876. This means it would still be a more than 50% increase from the current price.

Q4 Is Where The Magic Happens

Historically, the last quarter of the year has always been bullish for the Ethereum price, so it is no surprise that the machine learning algorithm expects the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap to hit a new all-time high in Q4. According to data from CryptoRank, four out of the last five years have seen the last quarter of the year close with double-digit gains for Ethereum.

The last time that the price had hit a new all-time high was also in the month of November, coinciding with the expectation that ETH will hit a $9,000 ATH in November this year. If the trend holds, then Ethereum might be in for an incredibly bullish Q4, putting in average gains of over 20% before the quarter is concluded.

According to Andrew Keys, co‑founder and chairman of the Ether Machine, Bitcoin feels like yesterday’s tool.

He told CNBC’s Squawk show on July 21 that he’d “rather have an iPhone than a landline.”

Keys went on to say he owns zero Bitcoin, staking his entire belief on Ethereum. That move puts him in a small group of crypto backers who champion Ethereum without holding any Bitcoin.

Ethereum Firm Backs GENIUS Act

Based on reports, Keys says the GENIUS Act will be a game‑plan for growth. That law, approved on July 18, clears the way for US‑based stablecoin issuers by setting guardrails for audits, reserves and licensing.

More than 50% of all stablecoins now run on Ethereum’s smart‑contract network. If stablecoin volumes hit the predicted trillions, that share would drive big fee gains for validators and dApps alike.

Smart‑Contract Network Attracts Institutional Flows

According to Keys, institutional players will flock to Ethereum for settlements and real‑world tokenization. He compared Ethereum’s stablecoin grip to Google’s search dominance, noting Google has about 90% of all searches.

Banks and funds, he said, will find it easier to handle cash‑like tokens on a network built for programmable money. That view echoes strategist Tom Lee of FundStrat, who recently said Ether could jump to $15,000 by year‑end. Lee, however, still holds Bitcoin as well as Ethereum.

SPAC Listing Raises Big Money

Based on filings, the Ether Machine has teamed up with SPAC firm Dynamix Corporation to list under the ticker ETHM on Nasdaq.

Keys is putting in $645 million of his own funds as an anchor investment. The combined company aims to raise $1.5 billion to back a treasury of ETH, staking operations and DeFi strategies. Investors like 10T Holdings, Pantera Capital and Electric Capital have already signed on.

Competition From Layer‑2s And Other Chains

According to on‑chain data, some activity is shifting to Layer‑2 networks such as Arbitrum and Optimism. Rival blockchains like Solana and Avalanche also host parts of the stablecoin market and NFT trades. That trend could spread transaction fees away from Ethereum mainnet, curbing some of its expected gains.

Based on market chatter, some analysts worry about a cliff in SPAC deal flow. Closing the ETHM merger depends on shareholder redemptions and SEC review.

There’s also regulatory risk over staking services, which the SEC may see as unregistered securities. Gas‑fee spikes during periods of heavy use could deter new users, too.

Man dies after getting sucked into MRI machine, police say

A man who was sucked into an MRI machine died from the severe injuries he suffered, police on New York’s Long Island said. 

Nassau County police said the man was wearing a large metallic chain and entered an MRI room while a scan was in progress Wednesday at Nassau Open MRI in Westbury. 

The man, 61, died from his injuries the day after the incident at the hospital, police said Friday.   

Police said a witness told them he defied orders to stay out of the room after he heard a patient, his relative, screaming during a scan. 

When he entered, the magnetic machine pulled the chain around his neck and caused him to be drawn in as well, police said. 

Doctors follow strict MRI safety protocols

MRI machines can be especially dangerous around people with oxygen tanks, in wheelchairs or wearing magnetic jewelry. That’s why patients are told to remove all metal and electrical objects before getting scanned, doctors and staff at North Shore University Hospital told CBS News New York. 

“It would act like a torpedo trying to get into the middle of the center of the magnet,” Charles Winterfeldt, the hospital’s director of imaging services, said. 

“The dangers could be catastrophic and it underscores why we have all the safety precautions in place,” Dr. Payal Sud said. 

Still, experts say injuries and deaths tied to MRI machines are rare when magnets pull an object from inside a room. 

Nassau Open MRI, which has multiple locations in the New York area, declined CBS News New York’s initial request for comment.

Shares of Voltas and Whirlpool surged up to 5% on Thursday, June 26, after reports emerged that Panasonic Holdings is exiting the washing machine and refrigerator segments in India, markets where it has struggled to build a significant presence.

According to The Economic Times, citing industry executives, the Japanese electronics giant is restructuring its India operations by pulling out of loss-making categories where it holds a negligible share. As part of this move, Panasonic is shutting down the production line for these appliances at its Jhajjar factory in Haryana, which currently serves as a contract manufacturing hub for other brands.

While the Indian arm is still evaluating the number of workers that will be laid off due to the restructuring exercise, the executives said it will be in high double digits, as the company is trying to relocate some workforce, including in the factory.

Following the revamp, Panasonic will operate in two major electronic categories in India – televisions and air-conditioners.

A Panasonic India spokesperson confirmed the decision to discontinue the washing machine and refrigerator categories, and sharpening of focus on residential and commercial ACs, and TVs.”In line with our global strategy and evolving market dynamics, Panasonic in India is rebuilding operations to focus on future-ready growth segments such as home automation, heating, ventilation & cooling (AC), B2B solutions, electricals and energy solutions,” the spokesperson said. “Panasonic will support dealers in inventory liquidation and continue providing full customer service, including parts and warranty coverage.”The spokesperson said Panasonic is informing all partner companies sourcing products from its Haryana plant to give them a sufficient runway for transition.

On layoffs, the spokesperson said it is a “difficult but necessary step” and that the company is “fully committed to supporting them (employees affected) through this transition and is actively providing necessary assistance to ensure they are equipped for their next opportunity.”

Industry executives said Panasonic failed to garner more than 1-3% market shares in refrigerators and washing machines due to cutthroat competition from Korean brands LG and Samsung, and Chinese brands like Haier.

There is also pressure on its Japanese parent to restructure the business across geographies and exit loss-making ventures.

An industry executive, citing market share data from sales researcher NielsenIQ, said Panasonic’s recent share is 1.8% in washing machines and around 0.8% in refrigerators.
