Hardwyn India, a provider of kitchen, door, glass, wardrobe and sliding hardware solutions, has announced a bonus issue in the ratio of 2:5 for its shareholders.

In an exchange filing released on Friday, Hardwyn India said that its board of directors met on June 5 to consider and approve the issuance of “bonus equity shares in the ratio of 2:5 i.e., 2 bonus equity shares of Rs 1 each fully paid-up for every 5 equity shares of Rs 1 each fully paid-up held by the shareholders of the company as on the record date, by capitalization of free reserves/retained earnings, subject to the approval of members in Extraordinary General Meeting”.

Along with the bonus issue, Hardwyn’s board also approved increasing the company’s authorised share capital from the existing Rs 50 crore, divided into 50 crore shares with a face value of Rs 1 each, to Rs 70 crore, divided into 70 crore equity shares with a face value of Rs 1 each.

Hardwyn India bonus issue record date

As part of the bonus issue, the company proposed to issue nearly 19.54 crore new shares for its shareholders, using its free reserves or retained earnings, which stood at Rs 19.65 crore at the end of the financial year 2026.

The record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders for the 2:5 bonus issue is yet to be announced. Hardwyn said that the bonus issue is expected to be dispatched within two months of the board’s approval, that is, by August 4.

A bonus issue consists of free shares distributed by a company from its reserves and is often seen as a sign of strong financial health and growth prospects. While the issue of bonus shares increases the total number of outstanding shares, it does not change the company’s market capitalisation. However, it can improve liquidity and affordability, allowing more investors to add shares of the company to their portfolio.

Anand Rathi names Hardwyn India as its pick of the month

Anand Rathi Investment Services named Hardwyn India as its pick of the month in its report dated June 2, highlighting that the stock is currently trading near its 20 DEMA support. “Additionally, the DMI indicators are positively aligned, while the ADX is placed at 32, reflecting strong trend strength and supporting the possibility of further upside momentum,” it said.

“Therefore, traders may consider accumulating the stock in the Rs 24.50–25.50 zone, with a stop-loss at Rs 22.50. On the upside, the stock has the potential to move towards the Rs 30 target in the near term, provided it sustains above the mentioned support levels,” it added. The target price implies an upside potential of nearly 23% from the stock’s previous closing price of Rs 24.41 apiece.

Hardwyn India shares declined nearly 1% to trade at Rs 24.21 apiece, at around 11.05 am on Monday. The stock has fallen around 4% in five days and 2% in one month. Overall, the shares of the company are, however, up over 44% in 2026 so far.

Ola Electric Mobility has raised Rs 780 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) that was oversubscribed 56 per cent, driven by strong participation from domestic and global institutional investors, stock exchange data showed on Thursday.

The issue received bids worth about Rs 780 crore, with demand from long-only investors, including global names such as Goldman Sachs and BNP Climate Fund, alongside Indian mutual funds such as Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset Mutual Fund, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, JM Financial Mutual Fund, and Baroda BNP Paribas Mutual Fund, among others.

The strong response came despite volatile equity markets and signals continued institutional confidence in Ola Electric’s growth strategy, technology roadmap and positioning within India’s electric vehicle sector.

The QIP was launched at an indicative price of Rs 35.86 per share, while the stock closed at Rs 43.06 on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday, more than 20 per cent above the indicative price and above the regulatory floor price of Rs 37.74.

The fundraise strengthens the company’s balance sheet and is expected to support expansion across electric mobility, battery technology development, manufacturing scale-up and product innovation.

The transaction also expands Ola Electric’s institutional shareholder base and underscores investor interest in India’s broader electric vehicle transition, even amid market volatility.

Reliance Industries Chairman & Managing Director Mukesh Ambani will likely provide an update on the much-awaited initial public offering of telecom major Jio Platforms during the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled on June 19, ET Now reported.

The AGM will be held through video conferencing and other audio visual means at 2 pm on June 19, the company said in an exchange filing on Wednesday. The company has fixed June 12 as the cut-off date for determining shareholders eligible to vote on AGM resolutions.

What we know about Reliance Jio IPO so far
India’s largest telecom operator by market share, has been preparing for a mega initial public offering (IPO) which could fetch as much as $4 billion, as per reports. Earlier in May, The Economic Times reported citing people familiar with the matter that RIL is reworking the listing structure of Jio from the previously planned offer for sale (OFS) to a fully fresh issue due to differences with existing investors over pricing.Shareholders want to price the IPO to perfection, by selling shares at a higher price band. However, RIL is of the view that this may hurt retail investors in case of a listing day loss, the sources cited by the report said. “There is an inherent conflict of interest, which is unique to Jio,” said one of the persons cited above, who added, “Shareholders want to price the issue as high as possible. But that creates two risks. First, the issue could become too large for markets to absorb.”

A second person familiar with the matter said the promoter’s stance has been consistent. “Mukesh Ambani’s priority from day one has been to protect retail investors. There must be room for upside in the stock price post listing. Therefore, Reliance now plans to let the market determine the price post listing and PE investors can later sell in the open market if they wish,” he said.

A fresh issue would ensure that the company receives the IPO proceeds. “About ₹25,000 crore could be utilised for debt payments, and rest of the funds could be used for other purposes, depending on the requirements,” another person said.

In March, the company had planned an offer for sale, where each of its 14 equity investors would cut 8-8.5% of their holdings, translating into a nearly 2.8% equity dilution, ET reported at the time. None of the shareholders would have made a full exit.

In its annual report for the financial year 2026 released on Thursday, Reliance Industries said that Jio solidified its leadership in the Indian digital ecosystem, crossing several operational milestones. “The business delivered strong performance led by increasing 5G adoption, higher ARPU and greater traction in broadband offerings,” it added.

Reliance Jio Q4 earnings snapshot
Operating revenue for Reliance Jio rose 13% YoY to Rs 44,928 crore in Q4 FY26, driven by strong subscriber additions, improving ARPU and continued traction in digital services. Profit for the quarter increased 13% to Rs 7,935 crore.

EBITDA rose 18% YoY, supported by revenue expansion and margin improvement of 230 basis points, indicating better operating leverage across the business. Average revenue per user (ARPU) improved to Rs 214, aided by higher customer engagement and a better subscriber mix, though partially impacted by fewer days in the quarter. Data consumption remained robust, with per capita usage at 42.3 GB per month and overall data traffic rising about 35% YoY.

Trent has fixed Friday, May 29, 2026 as the record date to determine shareholders eligible for its first-ever bonus share issue in a 1:2 ratio. In an exchange filing, the Tata Group retail company said shareholders will receive one bonus equity share for every two fully paid-up equity shares held as on the record date, subject to statutory and regulatory approvals, including shareholder approval through a postal ballot.

The announcement follows Trent’s earlier disclosure of the bonus issue alongside its Q4 results and a Rs 6 dividend. The company had at the time indicated that the record date would be announced separately.

The bonus issue marks a milestone for the Westside and Zudio parent, which has never issued bonus shares before. As part of the plan, Trent will issue around 17.77 crore equity shares of Re 1 face value each, capitalising a portion of its share premium reserves.

The company expects to complete the allotment of these bonus shares by June 21, drawing from its share premium pool, which stood at over Rs 1,900 crore as of March-end FY26.

A bonus issue involves distributing additional shares to existing shareholders at no extra cost, typically reflecting a company’s confidence in its financial position and growth outlook. While the move increases the total number of outstanding shares, it does not alter the company’s overall market capitalisation. However, it tends to improve stock liquidity and makes shares more accessible to retail investors.

Only those shareholders holding Trent shares as of May 29 will be eligible to receive the bonus allotment.

Trent reported a 26% growth in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, at Rs 400 crore versus Rs 318 crore in the year-ago period. Its revenue from operations, meanwhile, rose 19% YoY to Rs 5,028 crore in Q4 FY26.Further, Trent has also earlier approved the plan to raise additional funds through the issue of equity shares via rights issue or other methods. The company announced an Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) to issue nearly 8.89 lakh shares to its eligible shareholders.

State-owned insurance giant LIC said its board has approved a bonus issue of shares in the proportion of 1:1, its first since listing. This means, for every share investors hold as on the record date, they will get an additional share. The record date for the same will be announced soon.

“The Board at its meeting held today considered and approved the issuance of bonus equity shares in the proportion of 1:1, that is 1 fully paid up equity share of Rs 10 each for every 1 fully paid-up equity share of Rs 10 each held by the members of the corporation as on the record date,” the company said in a filing.

The bonus issue will be executed by capitalising a sum of Rs 6,325 crore out of the reserves and surplus of the corporation available as of December 2025.

The said bonus issue will be completed within 2 months from the date of approval by the Board, which is on or before June 12.

This is LIC’s first bonus issue since listing. The company has declared five interim dividends since its market debut in May 2022.

In a bonus issue, while the number of shares held by investors increases, the overall investment value remains the same as the stock price adjusts in proportion.

Companies typically announce bonus issues to improve liquidity, make shares more affordable, and signal confidence in future growth. It is often seen in companies with strong reserves and consistent profitability, aiming to reward long-term shareholders without diluting ownership.Shares of LIC have been under pressure of late, in line with the muted sentiments around the broader market. The stock has declined about 5% so far this year. However, it is up marginally by 3% in the last one year.

Coming to the financials, LIC reported a 17% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit in the recent December quarter at Rs 12,930 crore, compared with Rs 11,008 crore in the same period last year.

Net premium income for Q3 stood at Rs 1.26 lakh crore, up 17% from Rs 1.07 lakh crore a year earlier. The company has not yet announced the date for its January-March quarter results.

On Monday, ahead of the bonus issue announcement, LIC shares closed 1% higher at Rs 809 on NSE.

The shares of Metropolis Healthcare are set to go ex-record date for its 3:1 bonus issue on Friday. Only shareholders holding the stock as of the record date will be eligible for the first-ever bonus issue announced by the diagnostic services provider.

Earlier in February, the company had announced the bonus issue while releasing its October–December quarter results for FY26. The board approved the issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 3:1, meaning three fully paid-up equity shares of face value Rs 2 each for every one fully paid-up equity share of face value Rs 2 each held by shareholders.

Later, on March 10, the company announced that the record date has been fixed as March 20 (Friday).

What does this mean for shareholders?

If a shareholder owns one share of a company worth Rs 100, a 3:1 bonus issue will convert the holding into four shares worth around Rs 25 each. The total value of the holding remains unchanged at Rs 100.Once the stock begins trading ex-bonus, the price appears to fall sharply, but this simply reflects the adjustment following the corporate action.

Ethereum is facing renewed scrutiny after Culper Research released a sharply critical report outlining its bearish stance on the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. The reporter argues that the key aspects of the ETH ecosystem and long-term narrative may be weaker than widely believed, prompting the firm to disclose that it has taken a short position against the asset.

Culper Research Outlines Key Risks Facing Ethereum’s Ecosystem

Investment research firm Culper Research has released a critical report, revealing it has taken a short position on Ethereum. The CEO of Coinbureau, Nic, has shared on X that the reporter outlined that structural changes following the ETH Fusaka Upgrade have significantly expanded blockspace, causing transaction fees to collapse by nearly 90%.

According to the firm, lower fees translate directly into lower validator income, leading to weaker staking economics. Culper further mentions BitMine and argues that the recent rise in transaction activity and active addresses cited as bullish is driven by spam transactions and address-poisoning attacks rather than real adoption.

The firm also reported that Vitalik Buterin sold around 19,000 ETH as if he knew what was going on. While it is a significant amount, representing roughly 8% of Buterin’s total holdings, it may not necessarily indicate an exit or loss of confidence.

At the same time, Nic highlighted that ETH’s design allows for future protocol changes of rules through coordinated upgrades or forks if any economic issues emerge. This won’t be easy politically or technically, but it’s possible. Nic emphasized that he is not taking sides. However, when a firm publishes a detailed thesis and then puts its money behind it, it is worth understanding the mechanics they’re pointing to.

How Gas-Limit Expansion Linked To Falling Transaction Fees

A crypto commentator and the host of the office space, MartyParty, has also offered insights into the matter. Culper Research has opened short positions in Ethereum, arguing that the network entered what is described as a potential “death spiral.” The firm’s thesis is based on on-chain data spanning from January 2025 to February 2026.

A major focus of the report is wallet growth following the Fusaka Upgrade, and Culper alleges that 95% of new wallet creation during the period is linked to dusting or address-poisoning attacks. The firm further claims that dusting-related activity now accounts for roughly 22.5% of all ETH transactions and more than half of the network’s recent transaction growth.

Furthermore, the firm analyzes the economic effects of gas limit increase on the network, contributing to an estimated 90% decline in transaction fees and 40-50% lower tips per gas. Meanwhile, these dynmics could put pressure on validator economics by reducing overall revenue from network activity.

Beyond internal network changes, competition from Solana has captured growing developer and user activity, and reports about Buterin’s ETH dump have drawn backlash from parts of the ETH community.
