Delta Air Lines Inc. said it expects to suspend operations at New York’s LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International airports as well as Boston Logan International Airport into Tuesday as a major blizzard heads for the region.

Titan Company’s consumer businesses registered a growth of 40% year-on-year in the December-ended quarter. The international business grew 79% YoY while domestic clocked a 38% growth over the same quarter in the year ago period. The Tata Group company added 56 stores taking its retail network to 3,433 stores.

The company announced its Q3 updates late Tuesday and its shares ended with gains of 0.8% at 4,112.

The fashion & lifestyle retailer domestic business segments comprise jewellery, watches, eyecare and emerging businesses.

Jewellery

Buoyed by a vibrant festive demand, the jewellery portfolio clocked a robust 41% YoY growth in Q3FY26. Revenue growth was driven by substantial average selling price (ASP) increases, offsetting flattish buyer growths.

“To navigate the elevated gold price environment, Tanishq deployed a powerful gold exchange offer that sustained consumer engagement beyond the traditional festive window,” a company filing to the exchanges said.

The company reported distinct consumer patterns across product categories with dold coins nearly doubling in sales versus Q3FY25. Studded clocked its best performance (yet) for FY26, exhibiting healthy double-digit growth in the mid-twenties and well supported by buyer growth in the sub-segment.

Of the 47 new store additions (net) in India, 10 were in Tanishq, 11 in Mia, 1 in Zoya, 1 in beYon and 24 in CaratLane respectively.

Watches

Watches division’s growth stood at 13% YoY, primarily led by analog watches which recorded a healthy festive performance of 17% YoY growth. This division added 22 new stores consisting of 9 stores in Titan World, 9 stores in Fastrack, 3 stores in Helios and 1 store in Helios Luxe respectively.

EyeCare

This division achieved a 16% YoY growth, led by both international and house brands contributing well to the overall product mix. International brands growth was powered by strong demand for sunglasses and prescription lenses. E-commerce continued to be a key driver of the division’s expansion strategy enabling higher omni-channel sales.

As part of the network optimisation in Titan Eye+, Division opened 11 new stores, renovated 20 stores and closed 30 stores during this period.

Emerging Businesses

Fragrances segment grew 22% YoY led by double-digit volume growths in Fastrack and Skinn despite ASPs remaining at similar levels as Q3FY25. Women’s Bags grew 111% YoY driven by nearly twofold growth in overall volumes and healthy double-digit ASP growths in Fastrack and Irth brands.

International businesses

The international businesses primarily comprising jewellery (Tanishq, Mia and CaratLane) grew 81% YoY led by robust performance in all the markets of GCC, Singapore and North America (NA). During the quarter, Tanishq opened 2 new stores in the NA market, one each in Boston and Orlando.

Renowned personal finance author, known for his book Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, has once again stirred debate with his sharp commentary on the global financial system, referring to their ‘game’ as “Heads I win, tails you lose.”

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Kiyosaki posted a message under the banner “Lesson #8: How to get richer as the global economy crashes”, urging followers to understand what he refers to as the “REAL GAME” being played by global bankers.

In his post, Kiyosaki states that the true dynamic of the system can be summed up as “Heads I win, tails you lose”, alleging that bankers benefit regardless of market direction. “The bankers of the world control the world because they control global cash flow,” he wrote.

He argues that the system is rigged in favor of financial institutions, where “heads bankers win, tails bankers win… but you lose.”

Kiyosaki asserts that this translates to a broader systemic issue: “Privatize our wins…socialize our losses.” According to him, when banks succeed, they retain the profits, but in times of crisis, the losses are passed onto taxpayers. Citing the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Kiyosaki remarked that when banks lost billions, the public “covered their loss via an increase in taxes.”

Advocates alternative assets: Gold, silver, Bitcoin, and Ethereum

Rejecting what he terms a “rigged” financial system, Kiyosaki advocated for ownership of tangible assets outside the banking system. He listed gold, silver, Bitcoin, and Ethereum as examples of such assets and emphasized that he chooses not to participate in the current financial structure by legally avoiding taxes and diversifying into these instruments.“I choose not to play that game by learning how NOT to pay taxes legally and own tangible assets outside the banking system,” he posted. The statement underscores Kiyosaki’s long-standing preference for precious metals and decentralized assets as part of his wealth strategy.

Kiyosaki also recommended the book Tax-Free Wealth by his advisor Tom Wheelwright for those interested in learning how to reduce their tax liabilities legally. He added that the book is “true throughout most of the world’s economies because the rich do not pay taxes in most countries.”

In his message, Kiyosaki recalled America’s founding in 1773 as a tax-free nation, referencing the Boston Tea Party to support his views on tax resistance.

HONG KONG — Police in Hong Kong arrested a passenger on Thursday for allegedly attempting to open the door of a plane during a flight from Boston to the Chinese territory.

The 20-year-old male suspect, a Chinese passport holder with the last name Zhang, attempted the act on a Cathay Pacific flight early Thursday and was reported to police, a Hong Kong Police Force spokesperson told NBC News by phone on Friday.

“Our cabin crew immediately attended to the situation, inspected the door to ensure it was securely closed, and reported the incident to the relevant authorities and the police,” Cathay Pacific, which is Hong Kong’s flagship airline, said in an emailed statement to NBC News.

No crew members or passengers were injured, and the flight landed safely, the airline said. “The case has been handed over to the police for investigation,” it added.

The CX811 flight landed at Hong Kong International Airport at 4:32 a.m. local time, nearly 30 minutes earlier than its estimated arrival time, according to Flightradar24.

It’s an offence for any person on board an aircraft to willfully tamper or interfere with any component, apparatus, equipment, or system of the aircraft under Hong Kong’s Aviation Security Ordinance.

In September, a Hong Kong Airlines flight to Osaka had an emergency exit accidentally opened after landing, with no injuries reported, according to public broadcaster RTHK.

NEW YORK: U.S. stocks ended sharply higher on Friday as traders boosted bets on an interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve next month, while all three of the major indexes posted losses for the week amid concerns over lofty technology valuations. Shares of Nvidia briefly jumped in afternoon trading after sources familiar with the matter said the Trump administration is considering green-lighting sales of the company’s H200 artificial intelligence chips to China. New York Fed President John Williams, a voting member of the Federal Open Market Committee, said the central bank can still cut rates “in the near term” without putting its inflation goal at risk.

Traders now see a roughly 70% chance that the Fed will cut its main lending rate by 25 basis points in December, up from a near 37% chance seen earlier in the day, according to the CME FedWatch Tool.

“The big tailwind today is that shift in rate cut odds for the December Fed meeting,” said Ross Mayfield, investment strategist at Baird in Louisville, Kentucky.

According to preliminary data, the S&P 500 gained 64.89 points, or 0.99%, to end at 6,603.65 points, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 192.83 points, or 0.87%, to 22,273.08. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 505.03 points, or 1.08%, to 46,257.29.

Stocks have been volatile in the past two sessions, reflecting heightened investor anxiety over sky-high valuations in the technology sector and over what may happen at the December Fed meeting.

Boston Fed President Susan Collins said on CNBC that policy was “in the right place,” indicating skepticism about the need for another rate cut.
