Here’s what the company reported:

Earnings: 98 cents per share vs. 96 cents expected, according to LSEG

Revenue: $28.53 billion vs. $27.94 billion expected

The company said profit rose 12% from a year earlier to $7.6 billion, or 98 cents per share. Revenue climbed 7.1% to $28.53 billion, thanks to rising net interest income, asset management fees and trading revenue.

Shares of the bank fell more than 1% in premarket trading.

“With consumers and businesses proving resilient, as well as the regulatory environment and tax and trade policies coming into sharper focus, we expect further economic growth in the year ahead,” CEO Brian Moynihan said in the release. “While any number of risks continue, we are bullish on the U.S. economy in 2026.”

Net interest income, which is the difference in what a bank earns on loans and securities and what it pays depositors for their savings, rose 9.7% to $15.92 billion in the quarter. That is roughly $240 million more than what analysts had expected, per StreetAccount.

Equities trading revenue rose 23% to $2.02 billion, or about $160 million more than expected. Fixed income trading revenue edged up by 1.5% to $2.52 billion, or about $120 million below what analysts had forecast for the quarter.

Fees generated by the firm’s investment bankers were roughly flat from a year ago at $1.67 billion, nearly matching the StreetAccount estimate.

The lender got a boost from a smaller-than-expected provision for loan losses in the quarter of $1.31 billion, about $190 million lower than analysts had forecast.

Bank of America, the second-largest U.S. bank by assets after JPMorgan Chase, has been a beneficiary of the industry’s recent tail winds. Falling interest rates, rising Wall Street trading and advisory fees, stable consumer credit, and deregulation have all helped the lender, whose shares rose 25% last year.

Analysts will want to hear more from Moynihan as to whether momentum will carry into 2026.

On Tuesday, JPMorgan posted results that exceeded expectations on better-than-expected trading revenue. Citigroup and Wells Fargo also report results Wednesday, while Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley will release results Thursday.

The stock rose 2% in extended trading.

Here’s how the company did in comparison with LSEG consensus:

Earnings per share: $3.25 adjusted vs. $2.86 expected

Revenue: $10.26 billion vs. $10.27 billion expected

Revenue increased 8.6% from a year earlier in the fiscal third quarter, which ended on Oct. 31, according to a statement. Net income increased to $2.09 billion, or $2.19 per share, from $1.53 billion, or $1.58 per share, in the same quarter last year, boosted by a $263 million gain from strategic investments.

Adjusted earnings per share exclude stock-based compensation.

The Tableau data analytics business had a higher mix of cloud services than the company had predicted during the quarter, Robin Washington, Salesforce’s chief operating and financial officer, said on a conference call with analysts. Revenue from on-premises Tableau and MuleSoft app integration products are recognized during the quarter, rather than over time.

For the fiscal fourth quarter, Salesforce called for $3.02 to $3.04 in adjusted earnings per share on $11.13 billion to $11.23 billion in revenue. Analysts polled by LSEG had expected $3.04 per share and $10.9 billion in revenue.

The guidance implies revenue growth of between 11% and 12%, with about 3 points coming from Informatica, the data management company Salesforce acquired for around $8 billion in November. At the same time, the guidance factors in the continued shift to the cloud for MuleSoft and Tableau, as well as ongoing weakness from marketing and commerce products, Washington said.

Salesforce’s stock has badly underperformed the broader tech sector this year, in part due to concerns about the potential of artificial intelligence replacing some of its product capabilities. As of Wednesday’s close, the shares are down 29% in 2025, while the Nasdaq has gained about 21%.

During the fiscal third quarter, Salesforce acquired startups Regrello, whose AI software performs tasks, and Waii, which uses AI to compose code for running queries on data based on a few words of human input. The company also introduced Agentforce AI software for managing IT service requests, and issued a $60 billion fiscal 2030 revenue target, surpassing analysts’ projections.

Annualized revenue from Agentforce, which automates sales and customer service workflows, jumped 330% from a year earlier to over $500 million. Salesforce said it has won over 9,500 paid deals to date, up from over 6,000 as of September.

Free cash flow grew 22% to $2.18 billion, but the total was below StreetAccount’s $2.24 billion consensus.

The stock fell almost 5% in extended trading.

Here’s how the company did in comparison with LSEG consensus:

Earnings per share: $1.20 adjusted vs. $1.16 expected

Revenue: $9.25 billion vs. $8.74 billion expected

Revenue increased 36% from a year earlier in the fiscal third quarter, which ended on Sept. 27, according to a statement.

Net income climbed to $1.24 billion, or 75 cents per share, from $771 million, or 47 cents per share, a year earlier.

For the fourth quarter, AMD expects about $9.6 billion in revenue, implying 25% growth. That’s above LSEG’s $9.15 billion consensus. AMD sees an adjusted gross margin of 54.5% for the quarter, meeting StreetAccount’s consensus of 54.5%.

AMD, which is trying to keep pace with Nvidia in the market for artificial intelligence processors, said the guidance does not include revenue from shipments of its Instinct MI308 chips to China. Executives said the same thing last quarter.

As of Tuesday’s close, AMD shares were up 107% so far this year, while the Nasdaq is up 21%.

AMD reached a deal with OpenAI last month that could see the AI startup company take a 10% stake in the chipmaker. OpenAI will deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD’s Instinct graphics processing units over multiple years and across multiple generations of hardware, the companies said, beginning with an initial 1-gigawatt rollout of chips in the second half of next year.

For years OpenAI and other companies relied on graphics chips from Nvidia for running large-scale AI models.

“We expect this partnership will significantly accelerate our data center AI business with the potential to generate well over $100 million in revenue over the next few years,” AMD CEO Lisa Su said on a conference call with analysts. The AI business is on a path toward generating tens of billions in annual revenue in 2027, she said.

Also in October, Oracle announced plans to deploy 50,000 AMD Instinct MI450 AI chips in its cloud starting next year.

India’s stronger-than-expected GDP growth for the June quarter may have been overestimated, according to HSBC India. The bank said low deflators could be exaggerating real growth numbers, adding that the way India’s statistical system adjusts for inflation, particularly in services and manufacturing, risks overstating output when price pressures are unusually soft.

India’s economy grew by a stronger-than-expected 7.8% in the April-June quarter, its fastest pace in five quarters. This came as US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs that now cloud the outlook, threatening key exports like textiles.

HSBC pointed out that the services sector deflator is more closely aligned with the wholesale price index (WPI), which is goods-heavy, rather than consumer price inflation for services.

When commodity prices fall and manufacturing inflation drops, this method understates price rises in services, thereby inflating real growth.

“We find that CPI services inflation for the quarter was 3.4%, higher than the 1.9% GDP services deflator used. If we switch to the former, real services growth falls by 1.5 percentage points, and GDP growth falls by about 0.8 percentage points,” HSBC analysts noted.

Live Events

India currently uses single deflation, meaning it adjusts only output prices without accounting for changes in input costs. In periods when commodity prices fall, this can exaggerate manufacturing growth.
Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Anantha Nageswaran also acknowledged the deflator’s impact on last quarter’s growth.

“I think the first quarter numbers for the fiscal year were definitely better than expected. A lot of people attributed the fact that the GDP deflator was much weaker this year compared to last year… in some sense, the GDP deflator being on the weaker side was a good thing and was not an unknown aspect. That was factored into the consensus expectations of Indian economists in the private sector,” Nageswaran added.

HSBC further said that in FY16, a sharp fall in oil prices led to manufacturing growth being overstated by nearly four percentage points. This time, it estimates the exaggeration could be around 1.5 percentage points in manufacturing growth and about 0.2 percentage points in headline GDP.

Quanto Eco Research, another research house, also attributed the low deflator as one of the factors for sharp growth in India’s GDP but didn’t provide estimates. Other contributing factors include strong government capex, front-loaded manufacturing ahead of US tariffs, a good monsoon—and a low deflator.

DBS noted that deflators narrowed sharply in the quarter to 1% from 3.4% earlier, magnifying the real growth figure, especially in services which reported growth of 9.3%.

Low deflators usually impact the calculation of real GDP. Nominal GDP is adjusted for inflation to derive real GDP. If the deflator used is too low, inflation is understated, making real growth appear stronger than it actually is.

India’s growth surprise has been cheered by markets. With external headwinds in the form of US tariffs and revenue pressures from GST rationalisation, economists say it is important to see whether growth momentum is sustainable.

Outlook

BS Bank said the focus now shifts to the drivers in the remaining three quarters of the year, where two-way forces are likely at work.

“Demand-accretive measures by way of rationalisation in GST rates might benefit consumption, but push the boost to 3QFY rather than the festive 2Q. Add to this a gradual transmission of rate cuts and directed fiscal support to affected businesses, which will also be timely,” the bank noted, adding that the deflator impact will show in the second quarter as well when WPI and CPI gapped down.

The tariff impact

Economists note that the impact of tariffs on growth will hinge on their duration.

“There were two parts to the US tariffs. Both will have an impact in the second quarter and possibly a little into the beginning of the calendar fourth quarter or the fiscal third quarter. I think some of these tariff measures will be short-lived and there are a lot of conversations going on between India and the US government. I do believe that a resolution will be found sooner rather than later,” Nageswaran said.

Here’s how the company did in comparison with LSEG consensus:

Earnings per share: 96 cents adjusted vs. 92 cents expected

Revenue: $14.15 billion vs. $14.08 billion expected

Revenue increased 11% during the quarter, which ended on April 26, from $12.7 billion a year earlier, according to a statement. Net income rose to $2.49 billion, or 62 cents per share, from $1.89 billion, or 46 cents per share, a year ago.

The macroeconomic environment is uncertain, CEO Chuck Robbins said on a conference call with analysts.

Management called for 96 cents to 98 cents in fiscal 2025 earnings per share on $14.5 billion to $14.7 billion in revenue. Analysts surveyed by LSEG had predicted 95 cents in adjusted earnings per share on $14.58 billion in revenue. Cisco said the guidance factors in the expected impact of President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs on goods imported into the U.S.

Cisco reported over $600 million in artificial intelligence infrastructure orders from web companies. That brings the total for the fiscal year to over $1.25 billion. Cisco said the sum passed the $1 billion mark a quarter ahead of schedule.

During the quarter, Cisco started selling a Webex AI agent for customer service, and it announced Ethernet switches that contain AMD Pensando data processing units that could help with hardware consolidation.

Networking revenue rose 8% to $7.07 billion, Cisco said. Analysts polled by StreetAccount had expected $6.81 billion.

Revenue from security products jumped 54% to $2.01 billion, below StreetAccount’s $2.17 billion consensus. The unit includes the addition of Splunk, which Cisco bought last year for $27 billion.

As of Wednesday’s close, Cisco shares were up 3.5 for the year%, while the S&P 500 index was about flat.

Here’s how the company did compared with what Wall Street was expecting, based on a survey of analysts by LSEG:

Earnings per share: 73 cents vs. 58 cents expected

Revenue: $2.48 billion vs. $2.42 billion expected

Revenue increased 12% from $2.22 billion during the same period last year. Airbnb reported net income of $461 million, or 73 cents per share. A year ago, Airbnb reported a loss of $349 million, or a loss of 55 cents per share.

In the first quarter, Airbnb expects to report revenue between $2.23 billion and $2.27 billion. Analysts were expecting $2.3 billion for the period, according to LSEG. Airbnb said its first quarter of 2024 benefited from both Easter and an extra day in February.

Airbnb also said adjusted profit for the fourth quarter was $765 million, up 4% year over year. Analysts were expecting $653.5 million, according to StreetAccount.

In a letter to shareholders, the company said it has rebuilt its technology stack and rolled out new product updates in recent years that are driving higher conversion rates. The company also teased new offerings that it will launch in May, though it did not disclose additional details.

“Airbnb is a fundamentally stronger company today than it was several years ago,” the letter said. “We’re continuing to build on this momentum in 2025, executing a multi-year strategy to perfect the core service, accelerate growth in global markets, and launch and scale new offerings.”

The company reported 111 million nights and experiences booked, up 12% from a year ago and above the 108.7 million expected by StreetAccount. Gross booking value, which Airbnb uses to report host earnings, service fees, cleaning fees and taxes, totaled $17.6 billion in the fourth quarter. That is above the $17.2 billion expected by analysts polled by StreetAccount.

Airbnb said Airbnb.org, a nonprofit founded by the company, has housed more than 19,000 people and 2,300 pets following the devastating wildfires that broke out in Los Angeles last month. The nonprofit has pledged to offer 100,000 free nights and has received $27 million in donations, including $18 million from Airbnb and its founders.

The company said it has more than five million hosts and eight million active listings around the world. Average daily rates increased 1% from a year ago to $158 in the fourth quarter, the company said.

Airbnb shares were up about 7% for the year before Thursday’s report, topping the Nasdaq, which has gained more than 3%.

The company will hold its quarterly call with investors at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The stock hit a fresh 52-week high and closed at its highest level since April 2022. It was also the stock’s best day since November.

Adjusted earnings came in at 96 cents per share, ahead of the 76 cents per share projected by analysts polled by LSEG. Atlassian reported revenues of $1.29 billion, versus the $1.24 billion estimate.

For the third quarter, Atlassian said it anticipates $1.35 billion in revenue, above the $1.31 billion LSEG estimate and previous guidance.

Atlassian benefited from robust cloud and data center growth during the period as more customers turned to artificial intelligence solutions. That contributed to 30% subscription revenue growth over the prior year. Atlassian also said it now expects 26.5% cloud growth and 21.5% data center growth for the fiscal year.

“The momentum we’re seeing across the business reinforces our conviction around investments we are making in our key strategic priorities of serving enterprise customers, AI, and the System of Work to deliver durable, long-term growth,” finance chief Joe Binz said in an earnings release.

The Australian company, known for organization software tool Trello, has made a push into the artificial intelligence race alongside megacap technology competitors in recent years. In 2023, the company tapped OpenAI to bring AI capabilities to its Jira and Confluence solutions. Last year, Atlassian debuted its Rovo AI assistant.

Morgan Stanley’s Keith Weiss cited back-to-back solid quarters and 25 times year-over-year growth in Atlassian Intelligence among the reasons the company should “join the upper echelon” of software companies best situated for generative AI.

“1 million [monthly active users] for Atlassian Intelligence all point to a strong yield against investments in a unified Cloud platform ‘infused with AI’ and an improving enterprise motion. While the valuation gap narrows [after hours], we still see upside in TEAM,” he wrote in a Friday note.

Shares have gained 25% since the start of the year.

Chinese social media and gaming company Tencent on Wednesday reported better-than-expected profit in the third quarter, spurred by growth in games, advertising and cloud services.

Tencent reported profit attributable to shareholders surged by 47% year-on-year to 53.23 billion yuan ($7.37 billion) in the third quarter, compared with an LSEG estimate of 46.18 billion yuan for the period.

The company’s revenue rose by an annual 8% to 167.19 billion yuan, short of the 167.82 billion yuan analyst forecast.

Gaming remained the company’s backbone, with the unit’s domestic revenue up 14% year-on-year to 37.3 billion yuan, while that for international games shot up by 11% to 14.5 billion yuan on a constant currency basis.

The company noted that existing and new games had “evergreen potential.”

Marketing services revenue, previously called online advertising, surged by an annual 17% to 29.99 billion yuan, making it one of the fastest-growing categories outside gaming. Tencent attributed the growth to “robust advertiser demand” for its short-videos, mini programs and search features within its messaging app — called Weixin in China and WeChat overseas.

Global monthly average users for the messaging app rose by 3% from a year ago to 1.38 billion in the third quarter.

Advertising spend from games and e-commerce gained ground, more than offsetting a revenue drop from real estate and food and beverage.

The company also boasted the benefits of employing its self-developed artificial intelligence tools, amid a broader global boom in the AI space:

“We are increasingly seeing tangible benefits of deploying AI across our products and operations including marketing services and cloud, and will continue investing in AI technology, tools and solutions that assist users and partners,” Tencent said in an earnings release.

The company said that search within the Weixin app saw growth in commercial queries and click-through rates, thanks to large language model capabilities.

In June, Tencent upgraded an advertising feature that uses AI to select or help create targeted ads that sit inside articles and videos based inside its messaging app. That update drove a nine-fold increase from last year in the number of accounts using the feature — to more than 200,000 users, according to the company.

Tencent has sought to build up its short video accounts and mini-program e-commerce offerings to compete with ByteDance’s Douyin — the local version of TikTok — and major online shopping platforms.

In the third quarter, Tencent said mini programs’ gross merchandise value — an industry measure of sales over time— expanded by the “high teens” from a year ago to more than 2 trillion yuan, as people used the app for help with ordering food, electric vehicle charging and medical services.

Here’s what the company reported:

Earnings: 81 cents vs. 77 cents LSEG estimate

Revenue: $25.49 billion vs. $25.3 billion estimate

The bank said Tuesday that net income fell 12% from a year earlier to $6.9 billion, or 81 cents a share, on higher provisions for loan losses and rising expenses.

Revenue rose less than 1% to $25.49 billion as gains in trading revenue, asset management and investment banking fees offset a decline in net interest income.

Shares of the bank ended the session up less than 1%.

Bank of America, run by CEO Brian Moynihan since 2010, demonstrated the advantages of having a massive and diversified financial institution. Analysts have focused on the bank’s core activity of taking in deposits and lending to consumers and corporations as rising rates have squeezed the firm’s haul from interest income.

But the quarter showed that the bank also benefits from surging activity on Wall Street through its trading and advisory operations, just as rivals JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs did.

Fixed income trading revenue rose 8% to $2.9 billion, topping the $2.74 billion StreetAccount estimate, on strength in currencies and interest rate activity. Equities trading jumped 18% to $2 billion, topping the $1.81 billion StreetAccount estimate, on higher cash and derivative volumes.

Investment banking fees also surged 18% to $1.40 billion, topping the $1.27 billion estimate from StreetAccount.

While net interest income fell 2.9% from a year earlier to $14.1 billion, that edged out the $14.06 billion StreetAccount estimate.

That NII figure in the third quarter was higher than in the second quarter, a sign that the trajectory for this key metric is improving. The lender said in July that a rebound in net interest income was coming in the second half of the year.

Bank of America “seems to be turning the corner on NII inflection,” though the degree is dependent on interest rates from here on out, Wells Fargo analyst Mike Mayo said Tuesday in a note.

NII, which is one of the key ways that banks make money, is the difference between what a bank earns on loans and investments and what it pays depositors for their savings.

The bank’s provision for credit losses in the quarter of $1.5 billion was slightly under the $1.57 billion estimate.

JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo on Friday posted earnings that topped estimates, helped by their investment banking operations. Goldman Sachs and Citigroup also reported results Tuesday, while Morgan Stanley will disclose earnings Wednesday.

The stock jumped 11%.

Here’s how the company did for the period ending June 30, compared with what Wall Street was expecting based on a survey of analysts by LSEG:

Earnings per share: 47 cents vs. 31 cents expected

Revenue: $10.7 billion vs. $10.57 billion expected

Revenue increased 16% from $9.23 billion a year earlier, Uber said in a press release. The company’s mobility unit reported a 23% increase in gross bookings to $20.6 billion. Gross bookings rose 16% in delivery to $18.1 billion, and were flat in the freight unit at $1.27 billion.

CEO Dara Khosrowshahi had said the company expected around 20% growth for the second quarter, based on anticipated continued expansion in its core mobility business, and rising frequency of orders for food and trips through its membership subscribers.

For the third quarter, Uber expects bookings of $40.25 billion to $41.75 billion. The middle of the range, $41 billion, fell shy of the $41.18 billion average estimate, according to StreetAccount. The company expects adjusted earnings of $1.58 billion to $1.68 billion, with the middle of the range just above the $1.62 billion average estimate.

Uber’s “monthly active platform consumers,” or MAPCs, reached 156 million in the second quarter with 2.77 billion trips via the Uber platform. This compares with 137 million MAPCs and 2.28 billion trips during the same period a year ago.

Uber also reported $1.02 billion in net income for the quarter, which included a $333 million pretax benefit from “revaluations of Uber’s equity investments.”

In May, the company announced a partnership with Instacart that would add a “restaurants” tab to the grocery delivery app, enabling its users to order from restaurants and have deliveries fulfilled by Uber Eats.

In July, Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD and Uber announced a partnership to bring around 100,000 EVs to Uber drivers starting in Europe and Latin America. The companies also plan “to collaborate on future BYD autonomous-capable vehicles to be deployed on the Uber platform,” Uber said Tuesday.

While BYD vehicles aren’t sold or available for lease in the U.S., Uber has a range of other incentives and options in place to motivate drivers to use Tesla and other battery-electric vehicles, rather than gas-powered cars.

Analysts on the earnings call asked Khosrowshahi about Uber’s experience with autonomous vehicles, including its partnerships and long-term strategy for the market. Uber and Waymo partner in Arizona to let Uber users book driverless rides and food deliveries as an option.

Khosrowshahi didn’t disclose specifics about Waymo, but said broadly, “AV players” experience much higher utilization with Uber than they do “without a network on a first-party basis.” He said Uber “will continue to have the most liquid and largest marketplace” and that there will be a “pretty long hybrid period as autonomous is developing and regulators are trying to figure out exactly how to regulate it.”

“We don’t think this will be a winner take all market,” Khosrowshahi said.

Uber shares were down 5% for the year as of Monday’s close, but are now up slightly after Tuesday’s rally.
