Shares of Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 5.36 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 5.0 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 3.56 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 3.51 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.91 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 4.13 per cent) and Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 2.36 per cent up at 21603.1.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 428.75 points at 24834.85, while the BSE Sensex stood up 1292.92 points at 81332.72. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 47 ended in the green, while 3 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Hind Const Co, YES Bank, SJVN and MMTC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of 20 Microns, GHCL Textiles, CSL Finance, Banco Products and MMP Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Nandani Creation, GIR Natureview, BDR Buildcon, IndInfravit Trust and Ahimsa Ind hit their fresh 52-week lows.
