Shares of Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 2.13 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), Granules India Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent) and Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.32 per cent up at 15235.05.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 42.95 points at 19751.05, while the BSE Sensex stood down 125.65 points at 66282.74.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, MMTC, Indian Railway Fin, SJVN and IFCI were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Jai Corp, GFL Ltd., ITI Ltd, HSIL and Sky Gold hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Rajesh Exports, Winsome Yarns, Diamines Chem, Nakoda Group Of Ind and V Mart Retail hit their fresh 52-week lows.
