Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 3.79 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 2.87 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent) and Exide Industries Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.
TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 0.3 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.28 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.74 per cent at 21897.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 23.96 points at 23644.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 175.96 points at 77841.23.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Zomato, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of AB Infrabuild, Cura Tech, Shaily Engg Plastics, TCPL Packaging and SBI Card hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Kesoram Inds., Nxtdigital, Shrem InvIT, Cybermate Info and Dhanvarsha Finvest hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
