Shares of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 5.03 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.01 per cent up at 25022.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 30.96 points at 23259.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 203.28 points at 76490.08. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 ended in the green, while 20 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IRB Infra Dev., Tata Steel and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Zenith Exports, Likhitha Infra, Gufic BioSci, Emkay Global and Premier Exp hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Neueon Towers, Bohra Industries, Borosil Scientific, Compuage Infocom and Kaya hit their fresh 52-week lows.
