The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq opened higher on Thursday, propelled by a rally in Nvidia while investors assessed the recent batch of economic data and commentary from U.S. Federal Reserve officials to firm up bets on interest rate cuts this year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 30.13 points, or 0.08%, at the open to 38,804.73.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 26.76 points, or 0.49%, at 5,499.99, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 51.71 points, or 0.29%, to 17,913.94 at the opening bell.
