The NSE Nifty index was trading 161.15 points up at 21808.35, while BSE Sensex was up 559.32 points at 72280.5 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Infosys Ltd.(up 6.88 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 3.86 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.79 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 3.68 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 3.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
