-Nifty and Sensex closed with gains and hit new record highs on Tuesday
-Major gains were due to an uptrend in HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Power Grid Corporation.
-Sensex advanced 349 points while the Nifty was up 75 points. Nifty also touched a new high of 22,215 today
-Power Grid, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, NTPC, and Kotak Bank were the top Sensex gainers, rising 2-4%. Today’s losers were TCS, JSW Steel, HCL Tech, Bajaj Finserv, and Maruti Suzuki.

Smallcap stock, Zaggle prepaid Ocean Services closed 14% higher after the company announced its 3-year agreement with EasyMyTrip Planners.
-Tourism Finance Corporation closed with a 5% upper circuit amid reports of a block deal executed on the counter.
-Paytm shares were up 5% due to positive news flows from RBI, ED and Axis Bank deal
Sectors
Bank Nifty crossed the 47,000 mark led by private lenders HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank. Nifty Media closed over 2% higher, led by Zee Entertainment Enterprise, and TV18 Broadcast. Realty stocks also did well today. IT and auto shares saw some profit-booking. Nifty Midcap100 and Nifty Smallcap fell 0.13% and 0.53%, respectively.
Rupee
The rupee ended marginally higher at 82.97 per dollar due to minor corrections in crude oil prices and the financial sector’s uptrend.
