NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 2222.55 points down at 78759.4 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Supershakti Metaliks(down 20.00 per cent), Nucleus Software Exports(down 15.32 per cent), Kirloskar Bros.(down 12.36 per cent), Indo Us Bio-Tech(down 11.63 per cent) and KLK Electrical(down 11.09 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 3 stocks closed in the green, while 47 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 662.11 points down at 24055.6.
On the BSE, SEL Manufacturing Co, Sobha (PP), KCD Industries India, Valiant Laboratories and Vraj Iron & Steel hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Arrow Greentech, Makers Labs, Gujarat Intrux, Lux Ind. and IB Infotech Enterprises touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
