Sensex broke its 5-day losing run to close marginally higher on Tuesday while the Nifty ended a tad lower, as gains in heavyweight financial and auto stocks offset losses in metals, with lingering global uncertainty over U.S. tariffs keeping a cap on gains. The benchmark BSE Sensex added 147.71 points or 0.20% to close at 74,602.12, while the broader Nifty 50 index closed at 22,547.55, lower by 5.80 points or 0.03%.
