HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.51 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 4.09 per cent), Canara Bank(down 2.41 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.57 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(down 1.47 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(down 1.39 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.13 per cent at 51769.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.25 points at 23673.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 52.79 points at 78037.17.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IREDA, Suzlon Energy and Ola Electric Mobilit were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Cura Tech, Mahamaya Steel, Jupiter Life Line Hospitals, Bohra Industries and Shree Cements hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shrem InvIT, Libas Designs, AGS Transact Tech, Marshall Machines and Praxis Home Retail hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
